The Government has yet to develop Consensus among the Political parties on reinstating military courts:
PPP Central leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that PPP was strongly against establishing Military courts as it undermines the democratic political structure.
He added that PPP accepted this establishment against its core values. The government failed to implement the National action Plan and it is not serious in reinstating the former courts.
Army cannot be expected to be doing the job of Policing, he added.
Insightful segment, Mr. Kaira has a point that govt has failed to implement National Action Plan and not serious in reinstating former civil courts but at the moment we need military courts to attain required objectives against war on terror. In fact this is job of opposition and media to pressurise govt for quick judicial reforms as without independent judiciary there’s no value of democracy or any other so called economic development. Real democracy is the reflection of unbiased and independent justice system.
