PTI opposing Gen Raheel’s appointment as head of Islamic alliance: “We strongly oppose this decision and will soon raise the issue in the parliament,” PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said during a discussion in tonight with moeed pirzada. He said that in democratic culture the parliament is responsible to make all the big decisions as the parliament passed joint resolution on yemen crises and role of Pakistan. He said that Gen Raheel’s appointment as head of Islamic military alliance is not a personal matter because Saudi Arab’s government had asked Pakistan government’s NOC on the matter. He also said that neither the parliament nor the cabinet has been taken into confidence. He also said that PTI will not sit quietly on this issue. PTI had asked Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Shireen Mazari and Shafqat Mehmood to prepare a strategy under which a privilege motion and a calling attention notice would be moved in the National Assembly.
Good to see you both in same show. PTI is right that Pakistan has to keep it away from Middle Eastern conflict. It’s inappropriate for Pakistan to take part in any conflict but as it’s cleared that GRS being an intelligent person will try to bridge a gap among Muslim nations. CFH is right that PMLN is trying to play in this situation. This is security issue, this issue should be taken seriously and its terms and references should be known to Pakistani people.
