Doctor Moeed Yusuf, Director Asian affairs at USIP and prominent analyst joined Doctor Moeed Pirzada to discuss his editorial that highlighted Pakistan’s new found advantage of being caught up in a global power paradigm shift.
He said that until recently Pakistan has never really been able to cash in its position on the globe being a pivotal point on Central Asia. Dr Yusuf said that The United States of America has significantly declined in its global influence due to Donald Trump’s policy of internalizing focus and that has provided Pakistan with a pocket to create a space amongst other power players like China and Russia. Also, the China Pakistan Economic Corridor has paved way for Pakistan and neighboring countries towards new economic possibilities.
