Reports of thousands of Pakistanis being stuck in Saudi Arab, unable tp escape and working without wages began to surface a while ago. Doctor Moeed Pirzada invited over a prominent analyst and commentator, Mr.Irshad Arif to offer his comment on the scenario.
Mr Arif said that these failures depict the inability and disinterest of the bureaucracy. He said that the government is least interested to extract those stranded individuals or offering them any reliefs.
Indian government, on the other hand, is much more responsive and attentive to the matter. The Indian government sent their Minister for Labor to the Saudi officials to negotiate an exit. The Saudis have ensured them that they would be sent safely back home. Pakistani system, contrarily, has not reached out once.
