Dr Moeed Pirzada raised the questions with reknown International Law expert Ahmer Bilal Sufi on the issue of Indus Water Treaty. Advocate Sufi said that it was necessary to sign the treaty at that time which was unique as there was no such law to keep the flow of river from upper respiratory to lower. Dr Pirzada raised his concerns that if it is abrogated then what could happen. Advocate Sufi responded that in such case this could be considered as the act of war. And Pakistan can also consider similar conditions to block India for using airspace or may diplomatically challenge at UN, but the consequences could be severe if India block Pakistan’s water.
